On the weekend, I ran my first marathon. The GoodLife Fitness marathon
This was the hardest 42.2 km of my life. The race started out really strong and my pace was around 5:15 min/km. This pace was fast for me for this length of run and I maintained a run pace for about 28 km. This is a photo of me where my parents were cheering me on, at around 25 km in.
After 30 km, I started to focus more on a walk run sort of mentality as my body was in a lot of pain and not all of it was good pain.
Looking forward to the next one, and now onto recovery
