This week was pretty chill. I started my week with the same Sunday LSD as last week, totaling out around 22 km. This run went really smoothly and my running buddy Thomas joined me for the last 6 km. Next week I’m down to 16km and then its race day.
The rest of the week was very chill I went on a few super small baby runs and nothing too crazy. Just working now to make sure I don’t get injured and I’m not stressing my body too much.
The nerves are really starting to set in because we are just over a week away now.
Now, let’s talk about goals. My immediate goal is to finish. This is the first run I have done of this caliper. That being said, I have run many half marathons, some without any training at all. This time, I am prepared. I know how rough of shape my body will be in after this race and I am prepared for this. Let’s set some preliminary goals so that I have them in writing. My “goal” for this race is to complete it in 4 hours and 30 minutes. This is not a competitive time, nor is it an incredibly ambitious time. I want to make my goals manageable and achievable.
The next post I will make will be just before race day.
